What’s new around Strake Jesuit today? Check out MAGIS! MAGIS is the student-led newspaper organization of Strake Jesuit. The club publishes articles on a regular basis in order to entertain and inform the SJ community. MAGIS is inviting all SJ students to join the club.

MAGIS can help students connect with fellow classmates and faculty through conducting interviews. The interview process can not only help students to develop soft skills needed for college and job applications, but it can also allow students to get to know each other better. Students can learn about each other’s hard work and achievements in the sport and academic fields. MAGIS also helps its members to explore the school and its various wonderful parts.

Furthermore, students can improve their writing skills through MAGIS. The article writing format is easy to understand, and Mr. Saltzman, the moderator, and all the staffs are all eager to help new recruits. The club helps its members to develop and enhance their writing skills through learning about different forms of writing and great practice.

Students who would like to earn a grade for publishing MAGIS articles can join the Journalism class with Mr. Saltzman, which meets afternoons from 3:15 to 4:00.

MAGIS usually meets weekly Monday during community time. Please email Mr. Saltzman at if you are interested or have any questions.
