Large crowd marks return of Club Fair

At the Strake Jesuit club fair this year, Wednesday, September 8, in Schneidau Courtyard, student-run organizations showed up to recruit new members. There were a lot of clubs recruiting and a lot of excited students.
With an influx of new clubs such as the Drone Club and SuperCell club, this was a year not to miss. Crowds of students showed interest in all sorts of groups, ranging from the Black Student Union to the Paintball Club. Freshman and even sophomores who hadn’t seen or been here for a “normal” club fair were impressed, with one underclassman saying, “This is the most options I’ve ever had for joining clubs.” With 60+ clubs, there are a lot of tempting choices.
After over a year of COVID-related restrictions, the club fair was pretty much back to normal. The hosts advertised their clubs at long tables, and the students were able to talk to the hosts in person.
“I’m glad that we’re having a club fair this year,” Jack Robbins ’23, President of the Drone Club, said. “It’s pretty exciting to see people walk past our booths and ask questions. It’s just another way to bring us students together and find activities we like.”
