As Thanksgiving week approaches, many faculty members and students are preparing themselves for the annual Freshman Retreat.
Once again, it is headed by Mr. Carlos Roman and Ms. Eva Riojas along with help from Mr. Brendan Love, Mr. Mookie Manalili, and Fr. Tony Rauschuber.
Additionally, sophomore members of the grounds crew and junior and senior group leaders all provide their time and effort to create an enjoyable experience for the freshmen.
The theme of this year’s retreat is “With God All Things are Possible”, along with this year’s motto from Jeremiah 17:7 : “Blessed are you who trust in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.”
The retreat begins on Saturday, November 21st from 2:00 to 10:00 p.m. and continues on Sunday and Monday from 8:45 Sunday morning until ending after a night at school at 12:30 p.m., Monday.
Freshmen are advised to bring casual clothes to change into after athletic activities on both Saturday and Sunday. Also, freshmen should bring a sleeping bag along with a sack lunch to the retreat on Sunday morning. On the other hand, freshmen should not bring watches, any electronic devices, school books, illicit substances, toys, or backpacks.
Freshmen should come to the retreat with open hearts and minds and feel assured that organizers of this event will do everything in their power to make it an unforgettable experience for the entire freshman class.
