Eleven Strake Jesuit Band members have earned a position in the Texas Private School Music Educators Association (TPSMEA) All-State Band. Those honored are:

– Victor Chen – Oboe
– Erik Stockwell – Clarinet
– Cooper Viancos – Clarinet
– Joseph Zaghrini – Clarinet
– Javier Alvarez – Alto Saxophone
– Matthew Sander – Trumpet
– Alex Mascorro – Horn
– Michael Quindt – Horn
– Joseph Mullen – Horn
– Alex Niall – Percussion
– Keenan Descartin – Percussion

They will perform as a part of the All-State Band on Saturday, January 31 at 6:00 pm at Texas State University in San Marcos. The performance is free and open to the public.

In addition, Chen, Mullen and Hannah Wheeler (SAA) competed at the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Region Band Auditions and advanced to 5A Area which will be held Saturday, January 10 at Lamar University in Beaumont.

Mullen also earned a spot in the 6A TMEA Region Band and will perform in the Wind Ensemble on Saturday, January 17 at 7:30 pm at Tompkins High School in Katy.
