Our favorite superheroes and villains have come to life on the screen through a great number of phenomenal actors and directors. Audiences have flocked to theaters to see Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and recently, The Guardians of the Galaxy. But on October 28, Marvel called together a fairly out of the blue press conference at the El Captain Theatre in Hollywood. The president of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, comes onto the stage amid the great applause and announces Marvel’s next big production: Marvel Phase Three. The crowd goes wild, and great applause and cheer rocks the room.

Mr. Feige then goes on to reveal one by one, the upcoming movies in the Marvel franchise, planned all the way to 2019. I will summarize each movie for those who are not familiar with the comics, but first here is the Marvel Lineup of Phase Three:
May 6, 2016: Captain America: Civil War
November 4, 2016: Doctor Strange
May 5, 2017: Guardians of the Galaxy 2
July 28, 2017: Thor: Ragnarok
November 3, 2017: Black Panther
May 4, 2018: Avengers: Infinity War Part I
July 6, 2018: Captain Marvel
November 2, 2018: Inhumans
May 3, 2019: Avengers: Infinity War Part II

Captain America: Civil War – This side story basically pits Iron Man, Captain America, and Spiderman against each other as rivals. This is a meetup die-hard fans have been predicting to happen and waiting to be announced.

Doctor Strange – Steven Sanders, who is successful, but greedy surgeon, gets into an accident rendering his hands unusable. He seeks out help in the world of magic and sorcery until he finds The Ancient, a man who not only restores his hands but also gives him magic powers making Steven a superhero. It is also rumored that Benedict Cumberbatch may play Dr. Strange!!
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Thor: Ragnarok – I will only say that these will be a continuation of the series already present. But don’t think that those series are over, they will be back later!

Black Panther – a lesser known hero. Black Panther heralds from a super advanced civilization in the deep heart of Africa. Black Panther is the king of this race and has gained his power from a meteor fallen from the sky. As revealed in the conference the actor playing him will be Chadwick Boseman, who has starred as Jackie Robinson in 42 and James Brown in Get On Up.
Inhumans – this story follow the tale of a whole race of super humans! As Marvel’s series of Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America are starting to wind down, it seems that this is Marvel’s next big series in the Marvel World that they can draw from.
Captain Marvel – When this was announced the crowd went wild! Captain Marvel is several characters in the Marvel Universe, but Mr. Feige has decided to focus on one in particular, Carol Danvers. Who is she? Well Captain Marvel is basically the Superman of the Marvel Universe. All powerful, strong, and an outstanding heroine, this character brings a lot to the table. Also she is known to cross paths with the Guardians of the Galaxy, so who knows? Maybe we will see a meet up?
Avengers: Infinity Wars Parts I and II – This will see the culmination of the pasts series of Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor, and Guardians of the Galaxy as the story centers around the formation of the Infinity Gauntlet, the most powerful weapon in the galaxy, coming into the hands of evil!

All in all, I think this is great news for fans of the Marvel series. Seeing the movies Marvel has already produced the expectations are high and will probably be met. We can only wait to see what is coming next.
