Freshman year is an exciting time filled with thrills and new experiences, but it can also be stressful as students adapt to their new environment. At Strake Jesuit, new students are welcomed into a supportive atmosphere within the school community.

Many freshmen appreciate the increased freedom that Strake Jesuit offers. Like many others, Noah Fryer ‘28 says he is “usually busy at home and [doesn’t] have much time to do [his] homework.” The free periods and community times at Jesuit are excellent tools for freshmen to stay on top of their academics and manage their time.

The diverse community at Strake Jesuit makes it easy for freshmen to establish connections with their peers. “The community is very welcoming. There’s something for everyone here,” Miguel Abrego ‘28 said. The brotherhood fostered at Jesuit helps freshmen feel at home as they grow accustomed to their new school.

The first year of high school shapes students’ views and sets the tone for their high school journey, and Strake Jesuit’s supportive atmosphere and emphasis on an inclusive community make freshman year a great beginning.
