On Wednesday October 2, over 200 colleges and universities from around the nation came to Strake Jesuit to tout their magnificent campuses and programs to students in the Houston area. The Strake Jesuit College Fair connected hundreds of students to potential opportunities in higher education. From Harvard College to Rice University, the fair hosted an eclectic array of prestigious schools. Many students say that the fair aided in their search for the right college.
“The Fair helped me gain a better understanding of many universities that I’d considered applying to and introduced me to many new colleges and universities I hadn’t heard of before. It helped diversify my view of universities,” Ethan Wan ‘26 said.
In addition to connecting students to opportunities, the fair allowed students to ask questions regarding the admissions processes of each institution, quelling some students’ anxieties over the whole process.
“I felt a lot better after having lots of my questions answered about college admissions. It certainly helped clear up some confusion,” said Christian Attra ‘26.
Overall, the Strake Jesuit College Fair opened up access to hundreds of prestigious institutions’ campus life, academic programs, and more, answering many students’ questions and concerns.
